The Charlottesville Jazz Society invites all jazz lovers to a free concert and party in celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, with music by Brazilian jazz band Também. This special event will be held at Vault Virginia, 300 East Main Street on the downtown mall, on Sunday, April 7th from 4 pm to 6 pm. Complimentary hors d’ oeuvres and soft drinks will be available while supplies last, and beer and wine will be offered for sale.
Também is a woman-led jazz quartet, based in Durham, North Carolina. The band explores the intersection of Brazilian and American music through a wide range of rhythms and textures.
The concert and party are free of charge to everyone. You do not need to be a member of the CJS to attend, but donations are appreciated, and you will be able to join at the event if you wish.
